Give the Devs some time, please.
If they need some extra time for bug fixing before releasing the updates, so be it.

Summer holidays are taking place in scandinavia at the moment, these range between 1-3 months. A lot of people don't take this into account, please do so before rushing any scandinavian game devs.

Devs got a pony.

literally 0 since its launch. They made millions from this game. Sad to see they couldnt invest some of it to push out an update. Looks to me like they really did buy a pony

Nope, game is pretty much dead in the water at this point. No updates (and no the tiny bug fixes that barely changed anything don't count) for over 5 months.

Devs are too busy buying ponies and rolling in money to be bothered adding actual content to the game. Maybe some day they'll come to their senses and release actual content.

In Q3 of this year they will release the next major update. it will focus on massively improving the building system. That will be sometime between now and September.

Cool some new building parts cant wait to spend 10 minutes playing the update we waited 5 months for before we get bored. They made such a great game but there development of future updates is whats going to kill this game. New world is going to be the new valheim but an MMO version and i feel like alot of people will move to that in the next 5 weeks and valheim will be another game left in the dust. Too many greedy developers who make cash grab games and then dissapear off the face of the planet

Yeah tell me about it. Hearth and home has to be the least interesting update out of their road map. Who cares if you have new building options if everyone is bored with the world they're building in.

Mistlands, saga worthy seas or even Cult of the wolf sound like much more interesting content. Hearth and Home sounds like they're going the horse armor route.

And yeah, if you're going to make a deal about buying a pony when working on a game where my character drags a cart around like a beast of burden then you should announce that you're adding horses or something to the game.

I think the hearth and home update will make the game more robust and well rounded. Looking at the original road map it looks like the devs are looking to polish game mechanics and add some depth. If they keep at it, and I think they will, the finished product will be a completely different experience from the original EA release, in a good way. I wish it was already done, but I understand how reality works. Come back in 2 years, or don't. It doesn't really matter.

Updates take time I'm sure by this time next year it'll be a near different game.

I think more biomes or expanding on explorable content will make the game more robust and well rounded. The original road map was overly ambitious without a doubt and honestly most of us with ea experience knew it wasn't happening. Hopefully they have the drive and ability to keep going regardless of the game losing steam and sales likely drying up.

Hey, I thought 7d2d was going to die out years ago but here we are in 2021 and tfp are still putting out updates. Though feel like 7d2d was much more of a slow burn where Valheim exploded on to the scene with maybe too much success. That's what causes me the most concern. Too much success too quickly.
