Some idea for (maybe) better gameplay

Hi,
could you please add "sail camera lock (on/off)" feature, that would allow you to turn your ship while camera follows at the angle you left it (relative to the ship, only for the player at rudder)?
The option to go to first person while sailing, so we can see where are we sailing underneeth the sail would be nice. OR set the camera a bit higher/further while sailing, so the sail would block less of the view. For navigating rocky waters...

The glow of Drougr Fang could go away while aiming with the camera close to the character. I hate when i cant see where im aiming.

What dou you think? Thank you for your input.

and change your camera angle and look under the sail and over the hull and again navigate with the minimap

I do navigate with help of minimap already. What if you sail with wind blowing into your back, then you look to the side the entire time?
Yes. Every once in a while I'll rotate the view by 90 degrees to check the other side of the boat.

Yeah, the sail often blocks the view in very bad way. So much so that sometimes I raise it up in perfect wind just to be sure that I am not going to bump into shallow area or something...

+1
definitely needs a dev input to fix the old "cant see the sea for the sails" problem.. especially SP!! .. maybe a work around could be attaching a light to the bow, (as an upgrade to longboat) that allowed a new viewpoint from the lights position, with complete sailing functions, and a kinda free camera from same spot, to lookout for nasties and submerged objects

This kind of thing is probably on the fence between "quality of life" and "unnecessary streamlining" of the survival experience.

Just like most folks steering a ship here, I'm pretty used to constantly shifting camera around and being on the lookout for virtually anything. Being able to see through the sails or having slightly higher angle or zoom wouldn't change that too much. There'll always be that one rock that is hidden just beneath the surface.

Besides, there's an easier, more engaging solution: Navigate around the rocky straits, or even (Odin forbid) slow down and sail slower. You can raise the sail to half-mast.
