Ethernet icon? Do you happen to know what it looks like? I'm asking because I sometimes see what looks like a USB icon flashing in the top left corner, when I'm playing multiplayer with my friends who live on the opposite side of the world.

We've never really found out what, exactly, it is, but seems it indicates a connection issue, as one time I was kicked out after it appeared.

At least once the same icon was seen by one of my friends despite him "only" living on the opposite side of the (huge) country from the server host.

i dont MP but are you maybe seeing the old "floppy disk icon" for save games... it is in top left also.. maybe temporarily turn off or increase time between world saves?? could be a sync issue.. so thinking #1 have you played before successfully #2 any mods on either of systems? #3 maybe get him to start mp game and you join his..
