do devs even read stuff on steam, or is all discord?

it seems there is a vast difference between the content btwn the two. ppl here seem to me to be generally dissatisfied with content and how the game has progressed, but happier with things on discord. so is the problem that devs are ignoring steam? are these threads even read, or are we all shouting to the void?

devs sometimes respond on steam board. however, it isnt clear to me if they read the steam board. someone else may read it, and refer selected topics for response.

I doubt it, game forums have been a ****show for the entirety of their existence. Most devs hang out in more moderatable places like Discord and Reddit, at least from my experience.

Like... read all of it? I think it's safe to say that nobody does that.

Have never seen the devs respond or address common issues that the community seems to have either, slope issues, lag issues, portal topics etc...

I'm not convinced devs read the posts to their own bug tracker, let alone their discord, and certainly not Steam.

I dunno, there are a couple people on here I swear read and comment on everything :) Not devs though.

to the OP, Valheim has been awesome, i love the updates, Devs seem very inline with what players think/want despite the negative posts on this board. I would be willing to bet Devs come here quite often to check out what their players are saying....

Most dev teams don't have the time to read forums all over the place and only large studios have PR and marketing departments that might look through the larger forums from time to time.

I'm curious how much development speed and dev feedback changed from before this game went viral and they got rich.
