Thanks for a great Linux version!

Just want to throw out a thank you to the devs for taking the time on a well-optimized Linux build. Some devs who put out "native" versions really do seem to not put much into it, so as a Linux gamer it is very much appreciated!

Just adding to the votes to create a Mac version.

While I am not a Mac user, I have friends that are and wishing to play this game. They are not even regular gamers, but love what they have seen in the videos and are inspired.

Yikes. I forgot about the ARM/Silicon processors. I know there hasn't been as much development on them. I don't know much more about Macs I'm afraid. I'm a former Windows user turned Linux lover. You could always go for a cloud gaming solution. I got some good value out of Geforce Now back when I had a slower PC.

In any case, hopefully the devs of this game render that line of thought unnecessary in the next few months or so.

Yes! Linux only here, and really appreciate the native build! Thanks devs!

Definitely hope that my Mac brethren can get in on this soon. I know that a development version of Wine is available, I'm not sure how well it works compared to Linux but it is there if someone wants to try.

The problem is the new Apple Silicon Macs. I can run Valheim either in CrossOver (aka Wine), or Parallels but performance is not very good. It is barely usable for smaller build projects and some foraging, farming, you know, doing house chores.

Doing anything that actually requires quicker reflexes or where there's a lot of stuff going on on the screen is pretty much unplayable as the frame rates will drop to the low 10s or even below.

*still waits for the Macintosh version, sigh*

But I fully agree, I think it is awesome that a dev is also targeting the "niche" markets with their games.

So, thumbs up, IronGate!

And, please, can we get the Mac version as well? ;)
