Just saw in a Youtube video that you actually can put Lox on a boat. They recommended that someone actually rides on the Lox, though, while it's on the boat because if the sea serpent shows up, the Lox will go after it.

The one golum I killed was when I was inside a mining pit and the golum kept aggroing as I mined, so it stayed close. It took many many arrows to bring it down.

If you can't put the golum in a pit, then put yourself in a pit, and under a roof. A natural rock roof will break eventually, so will wood roofs, but you can repair or rebuild those. The roof will give some protection from drakes. The pit will keep the golums and wolves out. Bring frost potions and keep a fire going. The bright side is that wolves and drakes will fight the golum, and probably lose, but they will help wear it down and drop loot everywhere.

Of course, the hard part is getting that pit dug before you get killed. The golums are in the high mountains near where silver and obsidian spawns. Getting there past the wolves and drakes would be tricky. Digging a hole and getting a roof overhead before you get blasted is also tricky.

Frost potions require you to kill leeches in the swamp. The leeches themselves aren't too bad, and they spawn in any water, so you can get to them on the edge, but the swamp itself is dangerous. Drink poison resist before you go.

i know but i am solo for today. i can risk 1 lox

If you're still pre-iron, you do not have a realistic chance of defeating a stone golem. It is possible, but the effort you would need to put into it would more easily be spent progressing into iron to have real equipment improvement. Crystal glass is only worth one point of comfort, so it's not going to be a real game-changer.

Yes, this is the way, really the only way. You can widdle him down from a distance with a few arrows, then jump on his head and pickaxe
You must have an iron pickaxe, and iron armor to survive in the mountains. Make a wolf chest or cape first to help with the cold

Golems are vulnerable to the needle arrows from the plains. Its still a lot of arrows, but its a reasonable kill, about 35-40 damage per shot give or take.
Other arrows do not seem to work well, if at all. It seems unlikely you have these yet.

they are really slow, but hit hard. if you can avoid being hit, you can slowly kill them.
you may be able to make one fall down a mountain. That usually kills stuff, but I haven't tried to drop a golem like that.

Use the Bonemass special power and smack them with a mace or pick axe.

Golems will attack everything nearby once woken up. Wyverns will wake them up sometimes by attacking them.

Get an iron mace and use bonemass forsaken power to brawl them down. If you don't have that then it will be more difficult because they are very resistant to arrows and mountains are not a good place to be dancing around vs a troll-like enemy.

Wait until finish swamp to get in there , before mobs there will one shot you

i have 1 star wolves BUT i do havve ton of lox. would a lox able to take it on?

Trap them in a pit is another strategy. The drakes and wolves will weaken them quite a bit over a few days. As a bonus you pick up what the golem has defeated.
