9 Sealbreaker Fragments is too many.

Maybe we just have bad RNG but 9 fragments feels like a bit too many. My group started a dedicated to try out the mistlands and hearth and home content. So far we have 6 fragments. In the time it took us to get 6 fragments we all have a set of the new armors and weapons of choice all upgraded to the max with a bunch of spare cores and mistlands mats in general. Given how hidden everything is already, it is killing our spirit to want to play and try the new boss. The monsters no longer really pose a threat, it's now just a minigame of stumbling an ants nest when you can only see 20 yards in front of you. It feels super tedious, I'm not sure if I can be bothered much longer.

Same as others, in my 2 completed Mistlands games we've found seals faster than all cores...

It really does seem like RNG unluck. I usually struggle the most with boss stones of all things haha.

If you have boss uncovered, just go there and run around a bit, there should be plenty mines. If you put some effort in efficiency in it should not take long to find the rest of them. Or if the group does not want to play, just spawn them and have everyone do the boss.

If you can't deal with the mist, you're gonna have a bad time at the boss anyway.

The difference between "unlocking" mistlands boss and other is that the items that you use to "unlock" other bosses are also their summoning-sacrifice items, but that isn't the case in mistlands. But players have always been reporting these kinda issues with Moder or Yagluth too. It's nothing new or unexpected really, just progression that is continuing through each biome.

Recommend everyone to actually complete the biome, preferably on multiple worlds, before drawing final conclusions.

its not the count but the distribution. My first ML boss world, I got all the fragments out of 2 mines. It was the 7 empty mines that made it annoying, then suddenly 5 - 6 in one, then another 5+ ... Even with 9, I would be satisfied if they simply ensured 1 per mine regardless.

I've had the opposite luck; we usually have more Sealbreaker fragments than we need by the time we have enough Black Cores to build everything. Seems you guys have had some bad luck with RNG is all. (Or good luck, if you look at it from my perspective, hahaha.)

Totally agree with the stumbling through an ant nest without being able to see 20 feet in front of you bit. I hate games that try to conceal everything from view.

A few things can be true at the same time :) yes you probably got pawned by RNG, but also 9 *is* too many. We went from 5 totems all the way to 9 fragments.

Again RNG can be a B, but even over a few playthroughs it's clear that mine density is low and they are easy to miss.

I feel like it's a dead horse at this point, but yeah mistland tried to do too much and it ends up being completely unbalanced.
