the abandoned village sometimes have a berry farm, doesnt make sense why player cant do it

I don't really see any reason why we can't just get the ability to plant our own berry bushes. It would be sweet to plant bushes around my house or in my garden! Plus, Berries aren't exactly a difficult resource to gather anyways, so... I don't see the harm in letting people plant their own bushes! Even if it was just locked off until later in the game, I would totally be on board for having my own bushes.

I would love to plant them but I sadly don't see this coming. Part of it from my understanding is that the devs wanted to force needing to forage so by not allowing us to plant everything we kinda need to.

However we have mods so hey tailor your experience a little, but do so at your own peril. Plenty of planting mods on the Nexus though.

I plant my own blueberries. Now before all the people come to roast me for cheating. Here is my disclaimer:

The game is and EA so who is to say that planting blueberries option won't be in the final release? I only added 3 bushes and main reason is to have some bushes for landscape edging. I can live without blueberries at this point cause I have some plains food and am kind of beyond blueberry recipes.

I use the devcommands and then spawn blueberrybush. At first its a bit in the air. After a few seconds it plants itself. You can't place it precisely, but several tries get the job down.

Yeah that would be cool to have Berry Type Seeds to grow so it would be easier to have a look like farm land. (Not mentioning any of the sort from Creative mode.)

With a little searching, you can make a home near a berry patch in 3 biomes.
