Why dont they just make it so the game is pretty much always auto saving?
Like it is what other survival games often do. The game crashes too often for it to auto save only like once every 20 minutes. I work around this by playing on a server, with a password. So it saves more it seems like. But still, its annoying.

Post your specs and verify your game files. And check your hardware. Because never in 80+ hours have I seen a single crash the issue might be on your end.

It's your computer. I can confidently say after 200+ hours of gameplay that Valheim has never crashed. Not once. Nor have I lost any items or had anything out of the ordinary at all. Stop blaming everything on the game, it's hard to make something work with every single damn computer in the world. The game saves upon exit, regardless of the last time it saved. Your computer constantly crashing and therefore not saving is not the game's fault, and you can force a save with the console whenever you want. So solve your problem instead of complaining.

The game just randomly Hangs. Usually its during a stutter. It doesn't happen with other games. So I know it is this one. And when I google about this game crashing, I see hundreds of threads, a lot with different reasons. So it's hard to pin point it. A solution to make it less annoying, would to have the game always saving. Crashes? I have 300+ hours. Not a single crash.

One bad crash that caused us to restart because it rolled back characters but not world, deleting way too much iron to validate continuing.
Plus I like to build so may not have 'needed' to restart but we did.

Said everyone who complains about a game crashing ever. I promise you, it's to do with your computer. Some basic troubleshooting and research is going to go a lot further than complaining on a Steam forum that the devs don't even read.

Im complaining on steam, because I've spent an hour trying to pin point it... I've reinstalled, verfied files, updated drivers, restarted. You can literally look and see hundreds of post about it. Its fairly common for this game. Tried vulkan as well. Sure it probably is my computer as thats what it is with most crashes in games, the game is crashing due to some incompatibility that often gets fixed. If it was 100% my pc, literally I'd have this issue with more games kek. You cant just rule out the game, cuz It wOrkS FoR YoU, Cyber punk works for me 100% of the time, but so many others have it crash...

Than verify your files and maybe that's it. I don't even see the game crashing to be a widely made complaint around here and you bet if it was happening in mass people would be spamming the hell out of those threads. It's your computer. I wouldn't be posting if it was something that is commonly fixed by using common sense and doing the basic things. I've said I did that. Ty though, and Plus as I've said, google the game crashing, you get hundreds of post.

Why do you think Cyberpunk works for you but not others? Because you have different computers. Could be a DirectX module, could be .NET framework, could be so many things. Is your CPU or GPU overclocked? What speed is your RAM running at? Is your SSD set up properly? Are your power settings set up properly? Have you changed the task priority?
Spending an hour doing 5 minutes worth of work is not troubleshooting.

Common sense isn't really common so I still try to suggest basic fixes. It'd surprise you how common sense really isn't that common.Than verify your files and maybe that's it. But regardless. Hundreds of posts. Out of like what 6 million people? That's less than 1%.
