You don't actually upgrade the cauldron itself. You add other things to the cauldron area that give upgraded foods.

He's speaking of the "Upgrade" tab that shows when using the Cauldron, much like the tab on workbenches and forges.

It would be a great spot in the cauldron UI for batch cooking. Being able to make 10-20 batches of jerky with a single click even if it still took as long as doing them individually would be a nice feature
