Haven't played in months, wondering if the Onion farming is fun.

@DeMasked I have found seeds in chests that are in stone ruins with draugr or skeletons and also in a ruined cabin with skeletons. All in mountains. I found one stone ruin that had draugr but the chest didn't have onion seeds.

Good to know. I found 2 stone towers with nothing and then some random stone platform jutting from the side of a cliff that was kinda odd - maybe a place to build on or throw up a bonfire.

I kinda wish there was a couple more things we could make with them. Stew and Wolf skewers is it. One of my biggest disappointments with H&H is no new meads. Some kinda new mead or potion with onions would have been good.

I figure out that onions are a swamp/iron tier food , you just need a lvl 2 cauldron to make onions soup
So if you are full troll/bronze and sneak up to a mountain to raid an abandon building there to get seeds , you will have a good in swamp with turnip and onion soup

Oh well, lets keep this charade going.
Onion farming is a complementary addition to the rest of the crops. You plant, harvest and make food from the harvested onions. It's a decent system and onions add a bit of variety.
Is onion farming, in particular, more fun than farming any other crops? Not really. It's just additional content to an EA game. Is the game improved by having more content and greater variety? Yes, it is.

Same as other crops in the general sense. Can be planted in meadows which is handy.
Main difference is that in order to find them you have to go through mountains and find abandoned camps which I suppose is another new addition. Little structure with a skeleton or 2 and then the chest nearby - probably other areas you can find them like in cabins or abandoned villages. So far I've found 2 chests with some seeds.

Its the same as other crops. Plop thing in ground then stuff grows and you can cook stuff.
Its like comparing the different types of woodcutting. Is it more fun to cut ancient bark than regular wood?

Did you miraculously get bored after +200 hours and now find you didn't get your money's worth? Haven't played in months, wondering if the Onion farming is fun.

You have to admit that they are the best looking crops in the game.
Wait, what's that smell... Is that troll?

I certainly got my moneys worth. $20 is a small price for a solid game with very few bugs, especially in EA.
HOWEVER, yes, I for one am not intending to play at all until there are more biomes completed and more content is added. Once this game hits a "complete" date, it should be a welcome experience again.

onions are no diff from carrots, but having to chase down wolf meat to go with it is fun, as are many other H&H additions.
