Lol dude hitting trees or rocks gives u half of exp to raise skills , you waste the double of time doing that
And nope , i have 80 2* wolves already , i know their power but the graydwarf nest do not work if the player dont are 60m close to them :T , so its not autofarm at all , thats why i said that its better that the player become the farmer and not the wolves , u gain more doing that

Wolves are handy when you are hauling a cart - they usually provide nice cover.

2 star wolves are where it's at. Regular wolf is like a poodle. 2 star wolf is like a dire wolf.

Seriously though, I think its more than double the HP and attack. I forget the exact numbers but its on the internets somewhere.

We eventually took 2 star wolves to almost every base. They breed like rabbits. After a while we'd just leave the gates open. When you take a pack out with you hunting they will often have pups, the pups are often left behind. But it turns out they grow into adults while you are away.

One really cool experience I had was porting back to a castle base because I knew there were dense forests surrounding it. And because I like the woody aesthetic I try to go a pretty deep in before I start to harvest. It was night time. I'm chopping wood, we all know how that brings out the bad guys. Before i knew it I had some random wolf come out and kill a bunch of stuff that was about to attack me before I even saw them.

I gave him the nod and left him to roam free.

Build bigger facilities. I've got a rather small facility and none of my animals die at home. It's pretty easy to barricade a fireplace if you're having such an issue; while maintaining access to fireplace for cooking.

I think they've fixed the whole 2* boar/wolf farms as my 2* Pig Farm keeps despawning the second pig as of the last update. I get maybe 20-25 piglettes and poof! one of the breeding hogs are gone. Specifically if i haven't been around the pig farm in a while.

That's always happened randomly, since launch.

Taming is useful if you are making pig farms.
But largely at the moment i agree, especially when the mechanic in its current state lacks a means to control your tame animals.

I do hope they add leashes and the ability to order your tame animals to stay..... also food toughs so other players don't pick up the food you drop for the animals by accident
