I am having the same issue. Just tamed a 1 star boar he is not frightened, just runs around like he is. Hope he still breeds.

Well the boar seems to be breeding so just crazy I guess. I will just eat the crazy ones

I have a similar issue with a 2 star boar I harpooned home.
My best guess is that his "frightened run back to base, player too far" code is active at the same time as the "tamed" code.
Not entirely sure why. Personally I dragged the wild boar home before taming it. Not sure if that's a factor or not. But it's the only boar in the pen that does this.
(And I refuse to kill him. he has personality!)

I also see random boars around my base get a wild hair and just run around like crazy for no apparent reason.

Those are the first to become meat.

fire affect can cause even if the fire dosnt seem close its prob just close enough..

In another thread,someone reported it might be a boar spawned at a boar rune stone, and my experience tend to confirm this (it happened at least once to me).

This has happend to me once.
And I have a theory that tamed boar might have somekind of limit of breeding.

Since I named the 2 first one I caught and always kept these 2 for breeding new ones, suddenly one day they just started to freak out and did not stop.

After a week or so I finally gave up on them since their screaming got on my nerve.
