I have a gut feeling that tells me you OP are going in the swamp without a rested buff and appropriate food buffs. I gone in there with troll armor and a few bronze weapons, it wasn't easy but doable.

Lol, I hunt the swamps at night for chains now. Not being a jerk, just saying that you too will wonder how the swamp was so bad at some point if you persevere. Valheim is like a big learning curve. Also, the equipment you get out of the swamp and beyond almost make the area trivial. Stay with it, bro!

With as many threads on advice(including your original rant thread) about how to handle being in the swamp, taking it slow and conservatively, etc you'd think you would've taken that advice and been successful. Seems like you may have not.

Thus it just seems like your choices and play don't match the game, even though you could've also opted to make things easier through other means too.

So good hunting to you on your next game. May I offer the suggestion of steering clear of survival games given what's happened.

I had that for a long while until I had killed enough abominations for its good armor(poison resist and pierce resist). Raising the ground around a group of indestructible trees to make a base was pretty easy and then just roofing off the top of it

I remember the first time my son and I made our way into the swamps. My son had gone there solo the night before, and laid out a trail of standing wooden torches, hastily covered campfires along the path, and he had levelled the land (using his hoe)to connect the small islands, making a raised path. We were on route to the next boss Bonemass. We both died a few times, even though we ported back to HQ before nightfall set in, but thanks to the lit path I knew which way to run to get to safety.

To fight Bonemass, I suggested we totally fence in the area around his altar/spawn point. I built a wall placing covered fires along the wall so we could dry out and regen when needed. My son raised the earth inside our compound, so we would not be slogging through water during the battle.

Bonemass was tough for us. My son who was tanking him died so many times he quit. The next day I decided to try him solo, after learning his poison mechanics from the previous attempt. I had Bonemass down to about 1/3 health when my son logged on. He immediately joined me, and this time he did the ranged attacks while I tanked him. We killed him on the second attempt with no deaths.

There are a lot of mechanics to the enemies in this game. Listening closely and environmental awareness play a major role in this game. Once that is understood, the game becomes a much more enjoyable experience.

Well I read your posts, you got a lot of advice, but if you are saying why should you play this VS. an Adult game about pleasing sexual partners that is all on you.

Bro, i hate the swamps too but you gotta keep trying. Maybe take it slower, if I'm correct, youre probably trying to rush your time in the swamps so youre probably constantly low on stamina. Take it slow man
