Seeker Soldier Trophy drop rate

It is FAR too low at the moment on the beta environment. I personally haven't looted a single one in the last week and GLADD has been farming for over 75+hrs now and only has 2 trophies to show for it. It's a bit ridiculous that the drop rate is that low. Maybe it was bugged in this recent patch or something because the 2 that he did get he got prior to this patch and now he has been farming for 10+hrs and not a single trophy has dropped.

From personal experience this isn't sitting well since I haven't looted a single one yet. If people know that they aren't going to be able to summon the boss due to the drop rate being so low they just won't want to do it at all.

For example Gjalls are easier to find, because they make noise from far away and you know when you're nearing on one. With soldier - you must literally bump into it to find it.

Yeah, they wanted to make them as rare as trolls with the last update, but forgot the drop increase for the trophies. It would be fine if the trophies were useless, but they have a function. I found 2 so far, i've gotten almost 3 stacks of mandibles, that's my luck with these things.

Agreed, been having the same problem. Have killed scores of Soldiers and still no trophy. I'm all prepped to fight the Queen. Just can't get the trophies. AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!

Guess what? There's solution:

- add launch parameter "-console"

- and use command line to spawn the trophy

That's what I'm doing, because I'm not gonna be idiot running for hours over the obnoxious cliffs with slim hopes of RNGesus blessing. Not even cheating - it's fixing dev terrible balancing.

Yeah I know other people have done this as well. The problem with the 5% drop rate is that it means you "should" on average get 1 out of every 20 soldier kills, but it doesn't actually work that way. Each kill has a 5% chance to drop a trophy but you could literally kill 200+ soldiers without a single drop if your RNG is just bad for some reason. I've seen it happen... So they really need to increase it to around a 15% drop rate in order for people to be able to actually enjoy it.

The "mist" while being a cool and fun idea is actually pretty obnoxious in my opinion as well. It's just too dense... I like it but there's FAR too much of it everywhere in the mistlands and I personally actually liked the look of the old mistlands when the game first launched with the giant spiderwebs all over and was hoping they would build on that theme. If you ask me they should keep the mist but make less of it so that you just have certain areas that are covered in mist and not 90% of the mistlands making it impossible to enjoy the areas that aren't covered in cliffs.

I killed 6 with the Wolf pack & got 1 trophy to show for it. They do drop, but not as rare as say, a Fuling Berzerker Trophy or Rancid Remains Trophy or something.

a few rare things that have no other value than decoration is maybe good. I mean, I treasure my one wraith trophy, for another example. Its meaningless clutter, but getting one felt much cooler than getting yet another skull off yet another skelly.

Yes, please! Old post but still struggling with the drop rate. Hours of soldier hunting and still 2 shy. I want the Queen's trophy since the first kill goes to the summoning circle.

Another factor with the soldier trophies that is important is having the queen resummoned and kept alive so you can farm royal jelly; until further notice, the queen fight is the only renewable source of royal jelly currently available. This is critical for anyone wishing to maintain a mage build long term in the current state of the game.

Hopefully the devs will either change infested mines to respawn their jelly piles after a few days, OR even better give us a new beehive analogue that can passively generate more jelly each day.

One can dream...

Because they're needed to resummon the Mistlands boss.... Have you even played the beta? lol

The problem is that the drop rate being 5% on them is FAR too low considering you had to spawn them in and killall in order to test it. A 10% drop rate would probably do better since it isn't at all easy to hunt down and kill Soldiers in order to try and get the drops. Also I can guarantee that GLADD has killed more than 30+ soldiers tonight without a single drop since that's ALL he has been doing for 10+hrs lol
I know, I've been watching his stream for the past 5+ hours myself, thats why I went and did the test. But a 95% failure rate for a drop is still 21% chance of nothing even after 30 kills. His luck sucks.

But I agree, the drop rate is too low.
