Finally beat Yagluth - now for waiting?

It seems that I've beat the game at current, but is there something else at this time that I'm just missing? This is not a thread to complain about missing content, more sort of "Okay, did I get everything?" kind of thread. I've gone to the Mistlands, and yes, it is very empty. Plus plus travel guide, said it right on the tin and I verified it. I haven't gone to the Deep North or Ashlands yet, is it worth the trip to do so? Other than building another castle for funsies, I'm a little strapped for ideas on what to do next.

It has only one *IF* it has one at all.

I have scanned thru loads and loads of them that do not have one at all.

Building castles "for funsies" is certainly an option. Another option is to take a break, or try recruiting some friends and delve into the world of dedicated servers. Or you can explore the mod community. Or you can explore the mod community with friends.

Or you can make a new character and start a fresh seed.

Or you could use your experience to write some guides or start you own streaming channel.

The options are vast. (and they could even include never playing the game again)

It really comes down to personal preference.

I'm okay with all of those, but there is one question that's stayed on my mind since the start. What's the limit for building camps? Is there a limit? I remember in No Man's Sky it was upwards of 200 for base building, but I'm not sure if such a thing exists on Valheim. Building stuff in games is my passion, and Valheim scratches that itch.

You can always sail to the bottom of the world, gather Flamemetal and hunt Surtling.

I suggest gathering all the items needed to kill all the bosses again, setting up a portal system, and seeing how fast you can speed run the bosses. Alone or with friends.

Ashlands was an interesting trip... I traveled there once, unintentionally while trying to circle round one of my first world's continents... but it just kept on going and going and going... past a bunch of Mistlands and all the way to the Ashlands where it finally broke up the terrain into treacherous shallows enough for me to navigate to the other side. I ran aground a few times and almost got the boat stuck until I had to creatively swimpush the boat over with the right wave crest to float her away... All the while trying to avoid Surtling fire that sometimes spawn and shoot amongst the shallows. But other than the subjectively pretty burning sky, not much to do or see there other than one type of the figurative ends of the world.

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I’ve tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

I'm still looking for guys to play Valheim in Multiplayer (just NOT on a dedicated server, saving the money for other things), I did not build everything possible since hearth and home, though it feels like there is more furniture for multiple people like the camp fire sitting log. Building castles, yeah, that's awesome enough in Valheim! Building a Castle around Haldor the Trader is still in progress. Building castles that dwarf the biggest enemies in Valheim in every region. Every castle site (or just base site) has its own purpose, resourcewise or just concerning biome connection/access.

There is no limit, but it you build to big its gona start to lag.

Probaly a good idea is to hunt rare monster tropys.

Maybe visit Ashlands and farm some ore there as in future Flametal will be usefull.

I collected every cooked food for example:

As far as i'm aware the only current limitation on base building is FPS. You can check how many "insances" you have in any given area with "F2" , additionally this will also reveal your current FPS.

For me things get dicey around 8k instances. They get unbearable around 12-15k.

But I am running a beat ass 940mx with 2 gb ram, on an i5 with 16gm ram.

I believe you can go mine in the ashlands, but can't do anything with it. Unless they removed it.

a couple options;
keep playing, gather resources and prepare defensis for the eventual riads by Mistland tier and above mobs once they are added to the game. If go this route keep in mind world areas you explore will not be updated with any new content added later so exploring too much will ruin the world for future content updates.

Go play another game until the Mistlands gets finished then either create a new world or go back to your original if you haven't explored it too much.

i initially did the first and then went with the second option after I had done as much as I felt could be done. I just follow the discussions now to keep abrest of when the new content might get added.

If you decide to visit the Firelands you can farm Surtling Cores, Coal and Flametal. You can mine Flametal and smelt it, but currently there are no recipes to use it with.
