Best Food Combos for Magic Set?

Hi, just farmed and crafted the magic set and the staves. For those of you with some experience with this, what food combo do you use to be most effective?

I think I ran just one magic food at the mistlands boss, but the fight took quite long as a result (just about 30 minutes). It really depends on your personal preferences, the scenario and whom you play with. If you want to be economical, you can consume just magecap mushroom as well as stuffed mushroom to get enough eitr to cast blood magic spells, and then train your blood magic skill to reduce the eitr cost. So, as is the case with all weapons, as you train your magic skills, you can do more with less eitr.

Want to get a feel for magic without wasting any royal jelly? Run with stuffed mushroom, magecap, and your choice of salad (my preference) or misthare supreme. Let's you cast everything except maybe the skeleton summoning one, and with the mage set you can be surprisingly effective even in the mistlands so long as you always keep the protection spell active.

Thanks for the replies, all. I was working on skill ups at a draugur village, until stray shots started taking down builds and eventually the body piles. Got a lot of aiming practice in my future, lol. 2 star draugur elites are no joke. I was running Seeker Aspic, stuffed mushrooms, and bread for that area, but will definitely consider the better porridge and probably either of the chicken dishes for either health or stamina for mistlands forays.

Not sure if I should ask this in another discussion; but along the lines of skill ups, anything better than draugur villages? I try to make sure to keep rested up, but, wow, it it still seems soooo slow. I stuck to frost staff for less collateral damage since it raises elemental as well as ember staff. The blood magic skill ups I can't quite figure out.

Blood magic seems to gain levels when e.g. the protective barrier takes damage, and it seems to be based on the amount of damage it takes. Greylings, for example, didn't level it at all, but one hit from a troll got me a level up.

I think the plains would be a decent place to level up blood magic - lox, fulings, and deathsquitoes all do enough damage and you only need one of them at a time, just keep recasting when it goes down and try not to die. ;)

For elemental magic, I find the freeze staff works really well against seekers and fulings, either of which can also help level up blood magic, but yeah, it's slow going. Currently at 20 elemental and 6 blood lol.
