Alternative Development Route via Modding?
Is this being worked on? I decided to uninstall after I first played the game to let it develop a bit more, but the future doesn't seem so bright anymore and some decisions I'm not too into. Do you know of any cool mods or alternatives to Valheim? As close as possible to this in every way except stamina/pace of combat now?

Its not gonna revert not even with mods. They would have to literally screw with the code itself and to do that youd have to dig deep into the food and code out all inner workings with the code itself.
Please try to get used to the new system, it has barely been a day since the update is out. I get that the new system is overwhelming but there are ways with which you can quite easily manage stamina distribution. For instance "Tasty Mead" gives you regen buffs for it and it has a quick cooldown. And better foods, give you better stats.
Of course you need to find the new ingredients but that you had to do before the update just as much.

You must not have been to Nexus Mods before and seen all the mods available. People are already doing what you're saying is "digging down deep and screwing with the inner workings of the code itself." That's literally the definition of modding. It's been happening for months on such a larger scale than the POS hearth and home update.

Yes I know that. But so far it hasnt been done with Valheim other than the "Place everywhere" equivalent. Its not gonna revert not even with mods. And on top of that, none of what you say goes against anything I said. So I dont get what you are trying to achieve here.
And on top of that, while I am writing this I realised this could still be easily modded by just changing the food values for the currently available foods. Which would be fairly easy I guess. But my point still stands. You cant revert the system, its integrated now. The only way to get rid of it is by disabling hunger.

That's just not true, mate. Being "integrated" means nothing. You can ♥♥♥♥ with every value in the game and it's incredibly easy to mod. It will be modded/fixed in less than a week. You can mark my words.

Eh, modded maybe, who cares. But fixed? That's just hubris.

Ok I am marking your words because I already know them to be wrong. What you call modded/fixed will be mods changing the food values and thats it. Going for anything more is stupid because now that this system is moddable in such a way it gives modders and players more freedom to change it at will.Yes I know that. But so far it hasnt been done with Valheim other than the "Place everywhere" equivalent.

Literally why would you revert to the old system when the new system MODDED would give you more freedom over changing the food values to your liking? Instead of it fixing it at a fixed value like 20 stamina for low food, you could put it up to 50 yourself with a mod making the values editable.
Going for anything but this would be plain and simple: Stupid.
