So far I am liking my 2nd maps much better. I was exploring my 5th continent on my first map when I came to 5 large stones in a formation, not perfectly symetrical but still a nice foundation for a 5 sided building, or some type of structure. I started to build there, but I really didn't like the rest of the area. This was also just for an outpost.

Wanted to find the same thing for my 1st main base in a new spawn. 1st try at new map and walked east from spawn and came right to the same 5 stone formation. Only spread out a bit more and adjacent on Meadows and Black Forest. ON a large river also that leads to the ocean nearbye.

Didn't want to raze the forest hear like I did the 1st time through. So I brought all my spare wood from the 1st map. Not sure how many days in I am, maybe 14? I have been building the entire time basically. Built my 1st double wall after having the greydrwarves disrupting my gardening. The double wall solved that.

So after a couple days of true exploration. I found 5 copper mines very near my base. Working the nearest mine brought 3 skels to me. I knew what that meant and found the chamber they had been guarding.

Everyone plays different, but in my 1st map, I looked up the seed on a Valheim map site, so I knew where continents with all biomes were. That kind of ruined it for me. Took some of the unknown out of it and I started playing at a faster pace and started neglecting the fun stuff in between. Planting the garden, feeding boars and just tweaking the main bases. Went into total combat mode and was always making new outposts and cutting wood. Till I had way too much of wood cutting. Nothing wrong with that, I just got out of my playstyle. Knowing the map, I didn't need to go on blind exploration, which is really most of the fun for me.

I decided to use the 1st map for all my wood as I don't want to raze all the forests in the new map seed. I only cut 3 trees down there as a necessity to put my fencing where it needed to be. Saved the stumps so I can plant the same tree types a few feet away, keeping it as close to vintage as possible.

Instead of going out at night to fight to get XP in weapons, this time I sneak most of the night. I have sneak at 18 already, in spite of all the building. Have to get it high, so I can sneakup on turnips in the marsh. :D

Having a blast again with the fresh seed and not going to look up where anything is located this time.
