you could always enable devcommands and type:

stopevent

whenever an event starts

alternatively, you can install a mod called "server devcommands" and it has a toggle option inside the config file to disable random events.

if you use mods tho, install another mod called "configuration manager" and you can set options of all supporting mods from a in game menu.

According to the Fandom wiki, defeating the mistlands boss could end the two new event types.

yeah, install Server Devcommands. it has the option of running the command when the game loads automatically:

you can bind a key to 'devcommands'

open console: bind<space><your key><space>devcommands<enter>

you only have to do this once

start game; tap key;F5; console is ready to go

(didn't have that quite right if you tried it; just 'bind' not bind key

you can type 'help 1' and get the first group of console commands...
'help 2' etc. they added a bunch of emotes
