In one of the other threads I mentioned I had problems finding both the Yagluth altar and a vesigvir pointing to it.
A few days ago I found out why, so today I decided to make a screenshot, after getting rid of some stray wolves from a hunted event who previously got rid of me.

I usually find the vesigvir near a "stonehenge" looking structure in the plains.Heh... pretty much this. On my current world I've found two Yagluth altars thru pure exploration. I guess it's kind of a vegvisir that's on the (any) altar itself. It will place the boss marker on your map if it isn't already there. Fortunately Yagluth's altar is hard to miss.
That said , i usually find the alter first.

Yeah that ain't the "location" vegvisir, that's the "how to summon" vegvisir as pointed out by @governor

That is the normal one you get at every boss telling you what you need for the boss.

They are also in other places but rare. My guess is. since the game is still in EA, why make the current last Boss easy to find... Perhaps later on, they'll put more around to be found.
