Axe symbols in infested mines

I found many places in infested mines where one or more axe symbols appear. Until now, I don't have found out, if these symbols have a meaning or not.
Anyone else?

Infested Mines do have secrets rooms but those are clearly marked with blue glowing runes. There are also wooden walls and vines you can break to open passages. You will come across shut doors as well that can open and those are always found at the hexagonal openings.

>mfw the "Secret" doors are easier to find than the not secret doors, lmao.

Also, the pickaxes are just environmental storytelling. The Dvergr unleashed the seeker swarms by burrowing into their nests.

They were at least in the middle of mining when something made them abruptly leave, letting seekers move in. I don't think there can be any other explanation to abandoning tools in that way, given their semi-permanent outposts and fairly well cleaned up abandoned digsites. There seems to be no runestones to indicate the origin or explanation of any kind for seekers, so it's possible the insects are relatively newcomers in Valheim, at least aboveground. Even the inscription outside of citadel seems to be of dvergr origin instead of a viking type runestone, so they have at least some history.

Its an abandoned MINE. It is not surprising that there are a few old tools inside, its just a decoration.

They usually indicate a secret door that opens in the wall.
