Horrible fps after mistlands
So I dont have a NASA pc, but before mistlands i've been able to keep a steady 60-80 fps most of the times.
Now for some reason I can only get around 30-40...
I thought that updates would come with performance stability and not the other way around

Well everywhere I guess, since I havent been able or willing to play with 30 fps. Tried a new world and character, but nothing seems to do the trick. Im just wondering what it could be. As said, I dont have a powerful pc. but i've been able to run the game with decent fps at certain settings. I had to lower the settings to the lowest now, and still only about 30-40 fps

I noticed this as well, after the mistlands update i played for a few days with a noticeable drop in fps and it was not too bad at first, I made a new character and started a new world, then when I got to the swamps suddenly everything got laggy and died a few times, then moving back to the meadows made no difference, everytime a boar or deer or greyling appeared the fps would drop to unplayable rates.
Then I tested it in older worlds with other characters and still the same thing. Im not sure what made the fps drop so suddenly when it seems okayish the first few days after the update. So i'm quitting for now until theres a fix or an explanation.
I'm not running any mods and i updated my nvidia drivers, and changed settings on my computer so most of the computer resources would be dedicated to running the game, but not a big improvement and I don't think it should be this way in the first place.

Just got a 3060 Ti not too long ago and I feel like my game's performing worse now when I returned to check out Mistlands, than back when I played before with my 1060 3gb :P
Very frequently chugging along between 30-40 fps, even outside of the world save stutters and what have you.
Can't be that the world is becoming too crowded with objects either, as a friend and me started a new world just for Mistlands.
What's also weird is that it's the same exact thing whether I play with 1080p or 4K resolutions. Cutting down on things that should help doesn't seem to do anything.
I mean it's ... tolerable as I love the game so much but it's still quite a bummer

I've also noticed considerable lag after the update. I've found that if I reboot my computer right before playing Valheim, the game is playable. However, if I've been running my computer for a little while and I try to play, the lag is horrible. Not the best solution, but might be worth trying for anyone else having problems with the game right now.

You don't really get good performance optimization until they are done updating a game. A lot of games they don't even bother optimizing until they are done creating. Optimizing only to release another update that breaks it just means more work.

Since the update there are definetly issues. Game hangs every 10-15 mins for 2 seconds, FPS are also inconsistent.
I play on 1440p, this used to be 50-70 FPS but since the update it is dropping to 30 - 50 FPS. Eventhough I still get 50+ FPS most of the time, sometimes im stuck at 35 FPS with no apparent reason. (like yesterday 35FPS in my base, today 55+ in my base. (i9-12900KF, 32GB DDR5, GTX 1660-ti)
Combined with the hangs, it feels like a cache/memory issue.
This is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, many developers ignore bug`s and performance updates because they prioritize pushing content. This leads to massive issues in the long run, delayed releases etc. Good developers fix their issues before pushing out new content, final optimizations are prior to full-release, but ignoring this during development creates unfixable issues in the end.
Have to wait for optimizations, I trust they will come soon.

Same thing happening to me. Game used to run flawlessly now every 10 minutes the FPS drops down to like 10-15 (often during a battle) and poor performance/stutters are very common. Hope this gets fixed soon

Our server is running into a lag/desync problems too. We're having animals outside of pens, or inside of homes even though they're walled off. We'll have mobs spawn inside, teleport around us, float above us, or delay their attacks - all sorts of issues. It's becoming more of a chore than an enjoyable experience.
