Crypt reset?
I was playing on a dedicated server and wandering around a crypt. I was about half done and had 24 or so scrap iron on me and the server went down. About an hour later I was able to get back on. The game remembered my inventory and my position in the crypt but all the monsters, body piles, and scrap piles had regenerated but the chests and other loot like amber and pearls had not. I actually had to tunnel back through some scrap piles to get to the entrance again.
Do the scarp piles in the crypts reset or did I just have a weird server related issue?

Why would you reset a server daily? How far can you get within a day? Or are you talking about "resource servers" that no-one builds on?

This - the most fervent worshiper of Murphy's Law is the God of Online Server Crashes. This God has cyberdemons that report when it is the most opportune time to crash in order to screw up with the biggest mess. Regular server saves can mitigate this to some degree. From what I've heard S.H.I.E.L.D. has an entire team looking into this.

Afaik crypts don't reset. You said the server went down unexpectedly, so I'd guess it didn't save the world file correctly which might be why parts of the crypt reset. The server saves in intervals, not immediately when you do something. tl;dr; yeah, probably a server related issue.

Yeah, that looks like your character file was saved, but not the world file. Dungeons don't reset like that, normally.

It will happen under certain conditions.
This is also how you can duplicate items on a server.
Basically the world save is off from server reset time.
Server resets and world goes back to its last save.
So you can wait for after the save pull crops or stuff from boxes, log out, then log back in after reset and stuff will still be in the ground and in boxes and also duped in your inventory.
So you probably entered the crypt just after the world save, when the server reset it reset to the point it had saved the world and you duped the iron,

Honestly it isn't a bad thing if you know when it happens ha ha.
If you want to stop it just have the server admin tell the server to save before it does the reset. You normally want to reset the server daily. The one I was on reset every 12 hrs.
