Not to my knowledge no mods are available since the game supports MP.
Besides the game saves auto every 3 minutes that's pretty quick, logging out to menu saves the game.
Or open the console with F5. Now, type 'save' and press enter. This will save your game. Note that if you are playing Valheim on a multiplayer server, only the admin can force save using console commands.
Actually I just remembered in order to enable consol cmds you will need to open the properties of Valheim in the launch options type > -console ok it launch game press F5
Thank you for the console route. I think the game may take longer than 3 minutes to auto-save on single player unfortunately. Sorted some chests, cleared out a monster nest after a drawn out battle, and hunted down four animals a good ways before the game crashed to desktop. While I lost that progress, it was almost like a glimpse into the future and was able to locate the monster nest again.

The game plays like Iron Man mode: You get one save. If you want to recover from screwing up, drop a linked portal before you do something risky.

Um no mods available? Um um...okay. (Thunderstore has 100's of mods, just a FYI they all work in MP)
And the game saves every 15 or 20mins not 3.

Here is an idea, instead of being rude, why dont you give the correct information. Not to my knowledge no mods are available since the game supports MP.

You are completely wrong on both counts.

The closest thing to a quick save/reload you can do, if ever it is a necessity, is to fiddle with saved games. The game saves on two occasions, autosaves on a periodic basis, and saves on disconnecting/quitting. It also keeps the previous save.
1/ Wait for next autosave before acting foolishly. In case of utter failure, quit the game before next autosave. In your save fokder, you'll find your world's and character's last states saved under two .fch files (state on disconnecting), and the previous state under two .fch.old files (last autosave). Just rename/replace both .fch.old filrd into .fch files.
2/ In case planed foolish action spans over a few days and autosaves, then you have to manually copy your last stable state (either .fch or .fch.old files) under another names, and preferably elsewhere. In case of failure, just replace current .fch files by those old saved games (set to .fch), without forgetting to restore their original names (i.e. world's and character's names). This protocole is strongly advised anyways, to protect your playtime against possible file corruptions.
I believe a mod already manages saved games.

Having a quick save/quick load option is really a bad idea for this game.
It would remove any risk to doing anything if you can just quick load before the mistake.
The idea in this game seems to be to punish you for not being careful. That would be removed.

There's one that lets you adjust how often it saves. There may be others.
