Decay Rate Problems
K so I found a way to build underneath the water by trapping myself with planks down tot he ocean floor lol. Thing is, my wooden planks just decay rapidly. Is there some way around constant decay?

tip: i found out that if you build wood floors onto stone, they dont decay in the rain with no roof on top. I made a 2-wide woodfloor dock so i can bring a cart to my ship full of ore for quick unload. The woodfloors are on top of stone pillars and such that are in the water as foundation. Those woodfloors are not affected by rain for some reason.

you dont understand what he meant, stop being cringe afIt's almost like..... you didn't read the post at all.... hmm you can work under water with the fly command. you use stamina (which will recharge
underwater) but you don't need air.

if he uses the fly command he doesn't have to 'trap himself with planks'
so there is no decay issue
he can just lower himself under water and build whatever (hopefully
with stone)
The problem isn't trapping himself. The problem is the decay.

As mentioned by others, the decay will only drop to 50%, which is fine if you're not being hammered on by mobs. If you really don't like the browny-green aesthetic, you can use mods (Valheim Plus or others) to turn off the decay. But that's only if you want to use mods. :)

? it's easier than 'trapping himself with planks'
can't do anything about the decay
can't do anything about the decay

You cant prevent wooden structures decay in contact with water. The only not affected by this type of decay is the stone and glass. Build a stone dome and work inside
