Inventory controls are a bit clunky, but there's full gamepad support right out of the box (including appropriate on-screen button prompts).

I typically use gamepad for all games that support it. This was the first one where I really felt a need for mouse and keyboard, mostly for the building aspect.

You can also switch back and forth between the two in game, so there is that...

I use the controller for motion and inventory and the hotkeys for switching weapons/potions/foods from my KB...makes for a nice combo!

There is Gamepad support, and it does show up in the key prompts but how it is is I cant tell because I am a M+K player, the devs are working on Gamepad support for sure.
