I hate the hot tub :) It is very difficult to place it, due to the smoke coming out too close to where you put the wood in. Getting it so it does not smoke up the room yet is accessible but not wasting a giant amount of space is tricky.

That said, apparently it takes the game a while to register the update. I had the game update via steam, but my world did not yet realize it. It recomputed my comfort to 16 a short time ago.

Who actually cares about this though, it's just the duration of the buff, not the strength of it. It still lasts the entire day.

Crazy! Mistlands was a massive disappointment for me after waiting so long. They then neft comfort? I didn't play for more than a week when I would usually play for an hour or two everyday. I came back after seeing they have made changes to mistlands, to then find I've lost 5 minutes of comfort. Thanks a bunch

Some of us had all our holiday items destroyed when they sought me out. Regardless, it's a frustrating change that adds nothing to the game. Removing the benefit of prior progression removes the satisfaction of progression. Why explore Ice caves for red jute? I have a deer rug. Why put down a deer rug, when I can have a lox one.

If we are ONLY supposed to create for aesthetics, why even have the comfort system? I have two rugs in my home right now, guess what, I get satisfaction and comfort from both of them and don't lump them as a singular entity.

Yea I lost my holiday stuff in ML patch too, by choice (restarted) but that is why the only ones I have are the current yule ones.

only 1 banner. only 1 chair. Only 1 table. Its a bug fix, now only 1 rug. Its consistent.

your home is a mix. You probably want at least 1 workbench with tools and chopping block and tanning rack and all. But you may want another tanning rack and a pile of deer hides next to it for a decoration. Same for the forge, maybe you want that bucket in your bathroom, though it does you no good there. I have 2 banners next to my hot-tub, clipped into the floor to look like towels.

You are supposed to add some comfort items, from a list of choices. You can have more than this, to make whatever look and feel you want, similar to having 1 mega crafting station but bits and pieces in other places for decorations.

And as I said, I have 19 using only things available since mistlands. You are missing something. Note that some pieces are worth more, or used to be, like tar-wood > fine wood for tables etc.

It was never intended that each individual carpet would increase the comfort score, so altering this is merely fixing something that was overlooked previously.
As it stands, the earlier max comfort would give you a rested bonus of 30 minutes, which is a full in-game day and night. Now it gives you 25 minutes, which is still a full day and part of the night. If you visit your base to sleep nightly, you will not actually notice the decrease of the timer.
Rest assured, there will be further items added later in the game that will increase your comfort again, this is merely making room for that! :)
