Islands are typically rather large and can be a bother going round but I have yet to see an island that hits the "edge" of the world.

What I usually do is try to locate a river allowing passage through an island.

There were many large islands in the area we needed to go to fight Bonemass. After sailing the long way around a couple, we decided to land on one that was closer and see if we could get to his location on foot. We couldn't, but it was a good shortcut and I think it would be helpful when you're close to the edge of the world map.

Well, it's kind of a realm map, so an edge that swallows up warriors makes sense to me.

My island wasn't directly colliding with the edge of the map, but it sure wasn't worth it going ALL THE WAY down there.

Depends on the map. My first one my starter island stretched 2/3 of the way to the rim. My 2nd map most of the islands were pretty small.

Many seem to be long and narrow. I take the boat apart and walk to the other side and rebuild.
