I'm currently taking a break from Valheim but when i get back i would like to jump into co-op so i kinda understand the Op's sentiment. It is very offputting though i do understand.

If you add me as a friend you can join my world im starting up

Were people like this about Terraria and Minecraft?

Players can manipulate the terrain to the point of causing lots of issues up to and including trolling others. They can also very quickly deplete resources. This is why usually private servers have a main map and a resource map or two that they reset every so many weeks.

If your expectations are that the game is more open to others with their servers like the 70,000+ ark unofficial servers, its just not the case here.

Its co op game dude , not mmo game

With such a charming temper it should be easy for you to find people looking forward to playing with you though.

Don't waste your time with this one, he doesn't even own the game. He's either a troll or is the kind of person who buys a game without doing a single minute of research and then refunds it after 5 minutes.

You could always just make your own public server. I am sure you would quickly have other players joining.

The game isn't designed for large population servers because not a lot of resources naturally respawn therefore high pop servers require active admins to respawn in game resources and you are just not going to get that on a public, non password protected server.

Secondly, the game isn't really made for playing with strangers. Before you can make a ward, your stuff can be looted and if you die or log out in the world, people can access your item cache or just jump in your boat and steal it. Then you will get idiots who block resources, block access to the boss stones, boss summoning, it is really easy to troll in this game if you wanted to.

It takes about 15 mins of search in LFG to find a large pop community and then however much time it takes to apply on their discord and wait to be approved / white listed.

It's well worth it knowing you are in a large community who isn't going to steal your stuff.

While I hate everything about your title and post, I will point you towards the "looking for group" sub forum. Servers with no passwords equals people trolling the servers.

This isn't an MMORP. The vanilla game can have a maximum of ten players, plus what the Wonderful Wiz above said.
