You already have advice for the spice rack, so I'll let you know that for the bellows it must be placed right by the forge - less than a meter of separation, I would say - and it must be pointing directly towards it (the tip of the bellows where the air would push out from must be pointing at the forge, that is).

OBVIOUSLY people were able to hang it without using a beam. The point was you could use a beam to hang it from. Placing a beam is probably MUCH easier than redoing an entire roof to make it hang for some people.

By the way, if ya had looked at my screenshot, mine is not hanging on a beam either. I just thought I had hung it from a beam. It is hanging from a 26 roof.

Before you get nitpicky on words again, I mean beam as in either a log beam or the small wooden ones. You could probably even use the smallest wood one and hang it on a wall.

This still needs work. It has a tiny, useless radius from the pot and between the pot, fire, chimney, and such you almost need to design your entire kitchen with it in mind if you want to place it attractively.

Yep, because you have to fit the butcher table as well.

Spice rack is a pain. As others said, it needs a beam. And it's not transparent, so don't let it hang in front of anything you'll be using, like the cauldron or a chest. As far as the bellows- I put my forge against an outside wall, and knock down a section of that wall and place the bellows outside my house, then add walls around it and a roof over it.

You can also just make a lower floor below if you wanted for some of the items. Like for my kitchen building I usually bury the work bench and the forge.

The forge and workbench are buried below in the center. Dug deep enough to place a full sized wall.

I usualy put accessories of workbench, forge and fireplace one floor lower (except of the bellows - it must be right next to the smithy), then there is quite a lot of space.

Yeah, it needs a beam to hang from.

I had this problem with the spice rack when I was moving. I had to have the tin pot down first. I also had a pole just above it and around the fire places which I stuck it on that. The bellows is a pain with its location, It wont let you put it right next to the forge and it kind of sticks out in the way. Ill try and take a screen shot of my current set up

I remember the spice rack's "hitbox" is quite a bit taller then the actual model appears to be.


I ended up having to put in horizontal beams just a bit below my ceiling and hanging it on that. It kept hitting stuff below it.
