When will Valheim go gold?
I played 200h+ in the early release of this game, absolutely loved it but after clearing the Plains (which was endgame by then), I stopped as there were no Mistlands to progress to.
Since then I've skipped reading spoilers and such more than the obvious that Mistlands is complete and Ashlands is ongoing BUT, I will not start playing again until I have the full game as I want next time to be THE ONE where I can continue "forever" and not have another major update reset.
So question is simple, do we have a time frame when the game will go gold? At the meantime I'm keeping myself busy with 7 Days 2 Die and probably Sons of the Forest (as that one goes gold in 6-8 months). But all these are secondary till Valheim, soooo, when? Any ball park number or 100% unknown and can be 2032 for all we know?

i would guess 2025 as well based on the current update progress. it could happen sooner than that, i don't think its likely it will be later than that. We've only got two biomes left, possibly three if they go a step further with the oceans. I'm guessing they have something planned for after the frost/frozen biome as like a final challenge.
There is NO official timeframe though so take any timeframes you see on this thread for what they are...just guesses by the community based on current information.

Why make the one when you can make many? Your limiting your potential for something thats still so far away. Start the game over a few more times and experiment with different progression choices, weapon choices, armour choices even food choices. So much to experience you can't do it all in one go.I'm not that kind of player, I normally want to play a game only once but invest insane time in it. As I love building stuff and expanding my domains, I usually never come back after I do one proper run through a game. Valheim will be that exception but that is why I want as much of it done as possible before I start my next run.

No one knows when it will go gold. My best guess would be in 2 years from now. I doubt it would go much beyond that. Spring 2025 - book it!

long time to go by now. given the update speed for this game in terms of content additions is really slow i wouldnt wait for the full release. plus there is no real reason to start over with a biome addition. the gamemap is designed that you can keep playing it aslong as you dont fully explore the entire map for no good reason as you can find all you ever need by just going in 1 direction towards the edge that isnt directly north or south.
also anyone who beliefs SONs will go gold in 6-8 months given all the shortcomeings and issues of that game currently needs to seriously reconsider trusting these devs.
