There are plenty issues with the current ''ladder'' (steep stairs), that i dont think this will be implemented.
But not against it, would be realy nice for buildings like watch towers and the like.
Couple this with trapdoors, and it can open up many different builds and styles.

Yes please! Current ladder is basically a narrower slightly steeper stairs. I would very much like the ability to place an actual ladder...

Ya, vertical ladders would be great.

The animation walking up and down is also badly done, which makes it very annoying to use. It feels like your character is morphing into a heavy bouncy ball and walking up takes seemingly forever.
