Fuling Villages With Totem...
Is there a way to identify, from afar, which villages have totem and which don't? I'm tired of cleaning village after village with no totem in it, already made everything that uses Black Metal, there's no more purpose to explore but getting those totems. I know the big goblin also drops it, but I think it's a small chance, I already killed more than 20 and only 1 dropped, farming them doesn't seems to be a reliable source for totem.
Any hint?

Well there are 5 types of buildings:
A) Small rock structure with stairs -- no totem
B) A rock fort with roof on top (always totem)
C) Full rock tower (never)
D) Very small camp -- never seen totem here
E) Big camps -- 100% chance of a totem
I didnt count boss stones wich are usualy protected by big ones.
Its also possible to get one in raids on your base.

I found mine in a small stone tower, perhaps it only spawns in those and not the villages?100% sure they spawn inside villages.

I've found a totem in a couple of small villages (3 buildings, 1 shaman and 4 fulings) and I've had 2 large villages with 3 berserkers, 4-6 shaman, a horde of ordinary fulings, 2-3 watch towers, 8-12 huts, 2 bonfires, 4 stash chests, and 3 fields without a single displayed or stashed totem.

From my experience it was only 8 villages (in two quite large biomes) to clear to have enough to summon yagluth, but this can be RNG.

villages can have 0-2 totems but the stone towers ALWAYS have 1 and there's never more than 3 regular Fuling so I seek them out over the villages

I think all villages with the huge bonfire have at least 1 totem in a pedestal.
I also found my 4th totem in the floor level of a big tower with a chest on the top.
There's a small stone area with a staircase that leads to an exposed chests, nothing there.
There's the Stonehenge with 3 of those big goblins, but no totem inside the central chest.

Might be loosely size-related thing, bigger villages have more stuff. You should also take a look inside the towers (of all sizes), they also can have totems.

Should be able to see the totems just walking/sneaking on the outside walls of a village.
But yes Usually those towers are easier.

you can see the obvious ones on a stick, usually near bonfires.
