Did some testing and research the answer at the moment is yes.

(Which bothers me since insects are exothemic and have a metabolism based on environmental temperatures.)

But the public test seems to be changing where they can occur.

For now at least I will use my other base under the Elder since they can’t break that.

I´ve got rid of these events, just killed the Queen :-)

Yes from my understanding the swamp and mountians in particular have less raids that can spawn there

Gjall raids only happen in the Mistlands while the Seekers happen everywhere I believe. So once you have killed The Queen, it doesn't happen anymore.

let us know. I once crafted my own island with the entire surface raised about 2 or 3 meters off the sea level with shear cliffs on every side and it protected me from all raids until flying creatures started coming. Perhaps on a mountain top, raids will be physically unable to get to you.
