Give us solo players some consideration please.

I'm just talking about the raid events, especially this new one with the demon bugs that zero in on you and can fly. I don't see how a solo player can survive one of those assaults. I'm fine with the overall difficulty of the game, i've solod all the bosses up to Yagluth and enjoyed them all. Everyone one of them is doable solo with preperation and knowledge, but these base attacks, they're much worse and unavoidable and can happen anytime you go home. It's pretty much at least 1 sure death every time it happens and I don't like to die. I go to great lengths to have no deaths at all. Unless there is a game mechanic that requires you to die, no deaths should be achievable regardless of the challenge.
I'm just trying to say that the later stage home raids are beyond survivable and I wish they would get nerfed for solo players.
Currently I use some exploits to avoid them. Once I killed Modder I packed up my belongings and moved to a fresh would where no bosses had been killed. After I killed Yagluth, I had forgotten about it as a mechanic and got busy exploring the Mistlands. Lo and behold, I'm chilling at home when "They have found you" happens. I immediately broke out in a cold sweat as I then remembered why I switched maps after Modder. Sure enough bugs were homing in on me from every direction and at first I fought them bravely but even in my fully upgraded black metal gear, it took much too long to kill even one and they hit so hard that I would not survive more than four hits. If it were me vs 1 or 2 at a time, this would have been survivable, but it wasn't. they closed in from all directions, crawling and flying, piling in through windows and blocking stairs. One even sat himself in my nearest portal, blocking me from entering it. With only 1 hit left I did what I had to. Esc...Logout... start a new world... rest until I was healed... then, even though I thought it was pointless, I rejoined my game because even if I'm leaving it, I need to gather my boss items to use in the next one.
To my relief, the raid had vanished, so I guess that's another exploit to avoid a raid.

These raids I am yet to experience sound awesome, for now anyway, I'm looking forward to fending them off.

It is a pity that ppl that want to have a nicely built themed base and progress the game sort of can't do that, it's a pity that they target your base and not so much you, they should try to break down doors and get to you before 'blindly' tunnelling through your walls, i mean how smart are they..

It would be nice if bases were, in a way, indestructible, but that's a can of worms, not doors or something.. I dunno, maybe massively increase the hp of a building but well, there can be cheese there..
like as long as there is doors leading to you they will go to doors but wall your self up and they will go nuts..

Then you could have a safe house of the beaten path ready for war maybe, I know they do essentially go for you and not your base atm.

Considering what everyone has been saying a out events getting out of hand I think I'm going to build a war tower somewhere on my property, see how that goes.

They do target you. But running out can be very dangerous when you just reached a new biome. I am into mistlands now but fending of a fuling raid without the protection of a base is close to impossible.

Seeker damage is greatly mitigated by root harnesk and bonemass power, recommend using the latter when encountering high rank enemies. The new events are disabled by taking out the boss in mistlands, so there's some incentive to progress.

I do not understand why simply adding more options like ARK, 7D2D and Conan Exiles for example is not a standard. You can basically tailor those games and play exactly how YOU the player likes. Why does this company refuse to allow people to tailor their games as they see fit.

Yesterday 3 new players joined the community server I'm playing on with a streamer friend. Mind you we have only killed 2 bosses.. the new players were killed repeatedly by these super fun "events" and ohh yea don't forget how fun night time is EVEN in the Meadows for a new player fighting off 4 mob enemy squads all night until we can all make beds and sleep. They all quit and will likely not be playing the game again I know one person actually straight up got a refund. Let us turn things like this off. MORE options never hurts anyone..

With only the first 2 bosses killed it should not be a big problem. Especially if you provide newcomers with armor and one of your old bases. You can also get around this problems by killing the bosses on a second world and not your main server. This is what i did. Mainly because i didint wanted to fortify all of my old bases to hold up to fuling or seeker raids.

In general the mob-raids should stick to their biome so no seeker-soldiers show up in the meadows. Making this configurable is a good idea and shouldnt take long as the there seem to be console commands for this....

I had the Mist biome event yesterday while in a main base. Only 2 seekers and some baby seekers. I just picked em off with my bow.

I haven't fought that invasion event yet, but I would venture a guess it is similar to surviving past events with tough enemies. Raise ground and build a pillar to stand on and when it happens drop everything and run to the pillar you built outside your defenses. Then just dispose of enemies from range. I built a moat around my pillar to capture and hold enemies that do not fly. One can even get fancy and sink corewood fence walls into the top sides of the dais you built for something to give cover.

Instead of trying to use your brain and understand how to survive this event, you actively avoid it. That's why you don't know how to deal with it.

You're at end game and still have enemies that can reach your portals.

I would suggest getting better at your base defenses and combat play.

I survived it, but I can easily see the rage if the damned bugs end up annihilating peoples elaborate and decorative home base.

The issue with it is all the Seekers do aoe/splash damage in addition to their (biome appropriate) massive damage.

Fulings can ravage complex wooden structures, but they still only hit 1 square at a time. Seeker soldiers in particular can knock an entire corner of a building off, then the rest starts to collapse form lack of stability.

The event hit me when I was in my main base, so I peeked outside and shut the doors for a few minutes until it went away. The monsters smashed my beehives and that was about all.
