How do monsters know where to raid camp?
Hugin says that sometimes mobs will attack your camp. How do they know where my camp is? Is it based on where the beds are? Is it based on where our highest level workbench is? Is it based on where we spend the most time? Or where we've built the most? What determines where camp is? How do they know which house/camp to mob/attack?

Was just attacked by Eikthyr horde having only level 1 workbench nearby. These (you and workbench) are target conditions I suppose

Whichever camp you are in when the timer goes off and the dice roll happens.
A camp has three special items within a certain radius of each other, usually fire, workbench and bed. It doesn't care which one, could be three fires.
One time I actually used a gate just as they attacked. They attacked the building I left from and where I think my last bed. I didn't see the attack warning prior to leaving but saw it warn me as soon as I arrived (confirmed by opening the map and saw the red circle). So I had to gate back. This was from the previous version to the latest update from the date of this post.

Any place with at least 3 base "structures". (these are objects that have a 20m no spawn zone and are generally interactive elements such as fires, beds, work benches, furnaces, and so forth, but not simply walls, roofs, floors, and such). You have to be within 40m of 3 such objects during a raid check, which happens every 46 minutes. (note there are also raids that pure focus the player anywhere in the world, like with the wolf event).

Also - the base must have you. Nothing will ever happen at your base if you are not there
