I see that my previous post has been placed in the bug and technical issues folder of posts. You know, where Stephen from customer service asks me to turn my computer on and off. I don't think you're quite getting the point of all this. I can't play your game in any fashion at this point. Maybe you couldn't care less about single players who want to play your game without a whole bunch of buddies, but, I'll let you in on a little secret. A lot of us single players have money to spend on your games. The reason we don't have a bunch of guys to play with us is because we all have stuff to do to make money. i was so enjoying this and I see no attempt to fix this.

How are we supposed to help you if you don't even tell us what your problem is?

I looked at your other thread. You were complaining of low frame rates. That is a technical problem. The bug section is the right place to put it. The devs are far more likely to look there when it comes to solving problems than in the general discussion board.

Will they fix it instantly? Of course not. It will go on the long list of other things that need to be fixed. But the other forum is the right place to put it to get it on the list. Any other info you could add over there would also help, like what else is running in the background, what your specs are, what driver version are you running, if you have any mods and which ones, etc.

What does not get things fixed are angry rants in general discussion. Because that does not help them to pinpoint the issue.

In jlanders's earlier thread he or she claims that the minor fix released today resulted in Valheim taking a half hour to load from clicking Start to the spawning of a viking with the "just arrived" message. jlanders blames this on the developers adding new emotes at the expense of program performance.

Of course, today's minor fix added no emotes. This fact leads me to doubt jlanders's analytic abilities, especially his or her claim that the problem is not a bug or technical issue.

I hope someone can help jlanders with the problem. Alas, I lack the time and patience.

Please provide a better description of the issue as well as your computer specs.

Does the game initially start ok?

Can you create a new character and new world and it acts fine?

Have you ever modded your install? Even if you tried and it didn't work.

Have you checked log files to see what the game is doing?

Have you tried to update drivers?

Do you have any mods? If so disable and try again. If same issue then post as a bug.

Close Steam, reboot. As Jitatha said, if that doesn't help, report as a bug. I had no issues.
