Mist Solution

Is there any true solution to the problem of the mistlands being a hazard on the eyes even with the wisplight(the worst light source in any game I've ever played, btw). Is there a console command that clears the mist? A mod that makes it actually bearable? I'm so tired of only being able to play in the mistlands for like 10 minutes before developing a headache.

Maybe a mod will do it, but i don't see it that disturbing imo.

I wasn't in there very long, but I learned that zooming in on my character makes it a little easier to see. The further back the camera is, the more mist is between it and where you're trying to look. I lost sight of my character completely once and tried doing that.

You are using the Wisplight and Wisp Torches, yes?

Why would you need to clear the ENTIRE area? the mist looks cool in moderation imo.
Not only does it disallow me from seeing the scenerey/enemies, as I said earlier it just hurts my damn head. I can only play there for a few minutes as a result, that just doesn't work for me.

I would say that the mist isn't a good idea, at least to me.
I really like the game, but I have played games that use low visibility to enhance difficulty.
(a game called GTFO) I Don't dislike that game either.

But using it as a mechanic does mean people with eye troubles will have to play it less.
I'm lucky enough to not have such problems but some friends of mine said with GTFO it gave them headaches and generally was uncomfortable after a while because of the fog.

Which they will probably have similar issues with the mistlands.

I don't have eye trouble or pain from the mist... I simply don't like it. It's too much and turns me off to the patch.

I think trying to take the mist out of the MISTlands would be absurd, though a wouldn't be opposed to an item that you can craft after you kill The Queen that makes the mist more transparent or something.
Challenging =/= so intolerable that it causes you physical pain and makes the game unplayable. They *tried* to have it be part of the challenge, but they failed at making it an actually valuable part and instead it just makes the zone suck ass.

Those get targeted by enemies though, and I would need to literally build hundreds of them just to clear 1 mistlands zone. Not a viable solution for me.

if people get really sick and tired of that and the thick fog while sailing at night we can expect a clientside mod that just removes all sorts of fog for good.
