I would be surprised if the next biome was not released sooner than two years.

Iron Gate Studio (IGS) seems very dedicated to squashing bugs. The immediate success o Valheim upon release undoubtedly revealed a lot of bugs that IGS had not anticipated.

Additionally, I suspect that the establishment of IGS led to a lot of business problems for the founder and chief programmer to handle. Legal business, taxes, hiring of additional people, accountants, and the myriad other aspects of doing business require learning how to handle.

My wild ass guess (WAG) is six months to a year for another biome release.

It took them a year for the last one and your educated guess is another year? Genius.

Who knows? I believe I heard Mistlands was the last biome they had to build from the ground up so one might expect future progress to be a little quicker.

It's also good to keep in mind that in the not quite 2 years the game has been out it has gone from being a 5 person studio indy title to whatever it is today. While many people, myself included, may want more quicker from them I don't know how realistic an expectation it is given the circumstances.

Deep North first makes more sense: our viking can withstand some freezing conditions already - but being constantly on fire? Something in the Deep North might help us with that.

But actually I'm expecting Deep North and Ashlands to drop at the same time. Top and bottom of the world, we should get to choose which we go to first.

Who wants Ashlands? Team Deep North.

It's already one of the best spots to build a base.
