And what is your favorite enemy?
Figured we could have this kind of topic too... thanks to Sai D Gintoki for inspiration. :p
My favorite enemy is probably the Wraith, as it's very unique opponent in the game currently, and fits its biome quite well. It's also pretty rewarding to hunt them even if they only drop exactly one item (besides the trophy). I also like it how they are not complete pushovers (especially in multiplayer) thanks to their solid resistances.

I'm going to go with Sea Serpent, going along with the shock factor theme. They look cool and vicious, and when you first encounter one, you're probably already feeling pretty vulnerable, out in the water, likely in a storm and/or at night. Then you hear the swish and the scream, and see the big head with huge teeth!
I really like the trophy as well, which is not easy to get.

As weird as it may sound, the greydwarf brutes (not the regular annoyances though). They are really nothing special and ultimately still pretty annoying early game mobs, but they are also the first thing I got the perfect parry down for and that was a massive confidence boost (that continued to carry the rest of the game, parry is awesome) when I first got into the game. Even now I have fun just messing with them.

I will give the troll a nod. Its iconic of the game now, and the first time one stomps over at you as a new player is just a wow moment. Sure, we can one-shot them now, but the memes and memories endure.

Its really hard to say and for me its a three way tie.
1) Growths for having the most interesting mechanics.
2 )Fulings because I love killing them and taking their loot. hehe.

i would say a tie between :

looks like my favourite are trollsthats a good point, the head hitbox, sneaking and fire weakness options for engaging an enemy is a good non-boss enemy whilst dealing a decent amount of dmg if you get hit yourself if not the destruction of trees around you that might fall down to bonk you

mechanics that provides a difference to how you engage the fight both by resistances(yet very optional), spawning of adds, avoiding aoe and etc
probably the only technically smart fight so far

Gjall probably, because its such an interesting and varied fight depending on initial conditions (terrain, weapons avilable etc). Wraith is cool too.
Also honourable mention to log bearing trolls for being real bros in mining/woodcutting.
My least favourite is the drake... especially after no-bow has become my go to adjustment to gameplay. Followed by graydwarfs when making base in/close to forest.
