Am i wrong?
I love the game. I "think" i trust the devs team. But after around 3k played hours, i'm waiting for new content to play again... I just don't want to start a new game cause all my advancement may get erase cause of the new added content like ... maybe Mistlands... So i'm i wrong to don't play this game anymore ?

I haven't played either because I'm waiting to start fresh. I've considered doing a new server with just staying in the center but I'm afraid if I push into the other areas that they will add something in a prior biome like swamps that will be part of the mistlands update.

I have 4000 hours into Valheim, and still enjoying it immensely. My son quit playing after Yagluth, but I kept at it. I explored a lot of our map, but was very cautious to check when Mistlands biome appeared on my map and gave those areas of the map a wide berth, easy peazy.
I also started a new character and a new map and am loving the solo play a lot. I am at the point in this game where I am nearly indestructible, so I downloaded a mod that allows me to decrease my armour and increase enemy strength, albeit it still takes 2 deathsquitos coming out of nowhere to kill me while taking on an entire Fuling garrison.
There are a lot of ways to continue to enjoy Valheim, without interfering with your game when it is updated to include Mistlands, but I get the feeling you know that already.

Honestly, this is early access and there is absolutely NO guarantees that anyone will be able to keep all their progress when the final game releases, however the devs have said that they are doing everything in their power to NOT have to reset / wipe, but also said they don't know for sure.
Just to avoid disappointment I already assume all my progress is just "practice" and not getting too attached. I also plan to start fresh whenever new biomes are added and definitely planning to start fresh once the game is released fully... just because.

Remember, even if you go to a new world, you can bring your experienced player and as much stuff as you want to log across servers. You'd lose your buildings, but not your gear or your recipes.
But it seems the devs are trying to make it so you don't have to start a new world as long as you have mistlands areas that are completely untouched, so it depends on how much of the map you have explored.

Really? 3000 hours in and now you're asking if it's OK to stop playing? Seriously? lol Guess somebody needs a hug today.
The main point is that, should i play MORE expecting that Mistlands MAY erase all my 3K hours of play. OR, ((another way to get the main point)), Does anyone have any specific information on this possibility. Because I looked all over the place and unfortunately I couldn't find anything. Sorry, i tough my question was clear... So i try again for ppl that don't get it ::

p.p.p.p.s: Yeah, there was a little "taste of complaining" about the slow devlopment in my post :-P
If you've landed on any land that is Mistlands or even rendered it in the distance that area is done. It won't be randomized. Only completely undiscovered areas where you've never come within view/rendering distance will be Mistlanded. :)
So chances are you will need to start a new world. Or start a fresh world using your current seed so the layout is identical but everything else will be regenerated.
I play a variety of games so I don't get burned out. There's nothing wrong with pivoting to a new game until Mistlands comes out.

When the time finally comes where they actually update the game with new content, you're going to have to start a new world my dude. The game cannot upload new content into a world you already created.
And for me personally, I don't like taking an "end game" character into a new world. It just ruins the immersion and experience for me.

I think there's info out there suggesting nothing *should* be erased. On the other hand, you won't experience the updated Mistlands if you've uncovered all the map already. As far as I know.

I like the beginning of the game a lot, from swamp forward itโs just ok for me. So I get my base where I want it, explore surrounding areas, go play something else for a while and restart.

Best way to create content for yourself, start asking dumb questions. Such as, is this possible? A example would to be to build on trees, which for some reason count as ground.
yeah i was thinking about building a whole skyway in the swamps. ironically, the most low-lying biome has the most consistent height and density of trees, and those trees are indestructible.

I don't know. 3k hours is a lot of hours invested. I think you know the answer already.

If you've already sunk 3000 hours into it, what's another playthrough? Chances are you won't even like Mistlands.
