Save buildings and terrain modifications

I played the game a while ago and ended up building a nice endgame base. It lives on a small island far from the initial spawn point. I had tried to keep the terraforming to a minimal, but I still had dug out a nice port.
Now that Mistlands is out, I'd like to regenerate the same map(save seed) so that it has the updated mistlands areas and all the smaller changes (mountain caves etc) but I want to keep the base. Ideally I'd like to be able to save only the endgame base and its terrain modifications, then apply them to the newly generated map. The idea being to set the result up on a server for some friends with a couple of clues to how to get to the base....

So I'm wondering if there is an easy way to save the buildings and the terrain modifications?
Which mod(s) would be best if I don't want to have to have them installed for the map to work.

Note: I regenerated the world and verified that the island actually does have the same "look" as what it used to before my base.

Cheers

There's a few advanced building mods that include copy pasting building schematics, I think you're looking for Mathias Decrock and Jere Kuusela.

@knighttemplar1960 you're right, it's not exactly the same and things don't fit exactly. I think I'll just dedicate a bit of time digging the port again.
@L1m3r yeah I explored a lot of it, but upgrade world sounds promising

It may have the same look but there are small differences that you will notice. The same seed doesn't generate the exact same world. I ran into a similar issue on one of my worlds. I found a nice spot and started building but ran into a terrain feature that I couldn't modify enough (a river). So I deleted that world and used the seed to regenerate the same world thinking I would start building a couple tiles farther away. Things were not in the exact places that they were before. They had shifted by one or even 2 tiles and the height the tiles at was different by about 1 meter but it fluctuated. Some of the tiles were the same some were higher and some were lower. The nice large flat spot I had found wasn't as large or as flat as it was the first time around.

You have explored the whole map?
That's the only reason one would need to do that.

Only the area you've already explored was generated. If you find a Mistland biome now, it will be generated with your VH's current map generation algorithm -> you will get the current Mistland.

And if that is not enough just use Upgrade World[valheim.thunderstore.io]...
