There are usually branches in swamp hallways, that's what tripped me up once and is probably what killed you too. Before i go swim in them i make sure to check on what side the branch is, hope this helps

Glad to hear you were able to recover your items. Basically the same thing happened to me, went thru few of them, everything seemed fine and then i drowned because i jumped into the water thinking ill be able to swim across it with low stamina and low hp. If you recovered your items, did you check if it was a branch ?

Happen to me as well swam down a dead end hall hit a branch got stuck and died, and learn from it.

No I did not.. but I will definitely be more mindful haha

This happened to me a long time ago....more than once I think. When I see those dead end half underwater hallways now, I don't bother going back there. I guess back in the day I was curious if there was anything back in there.

I've never experienced this.. it was so strange. I've cleared a couple dozen of these no real issues other than one that had no joke 8 scrap iron. lol.

this was pretty bad though. I wasn't exactly close to my portal. I did recover my stuff though.
