You will get over the pixel look soon and then you end up enjoying the amazing atmoshpere of this game.

i actually think the game looks amazing. while this version of art isn't for everyone, hyper realistic (or even realistic for that matter) make a good game. it makes a good game better at best. there is a reason tons of games from the early 2000's and pre-2000 still get played regularly.

I thought graphics were "meh" when I first played the game. Now it's one of the most beautiful games I've ever played. I particularly like the Black Forest and the tall trees. The lighting coming through them is pure art.

The textures are very pixelated, but the shaders are great, so things look great...from a distance ;D

I love the graphics. The sky looks great at night and the way the sun shines thru the trees is just amazing. But then again I haven't played any new games(except this one of course) lately.

my first thoughts are the same (why does it looks like 8 bit) but then i was surprised

Try it out, it doesn't use more GPU or CPU just video ram, so if you have a decent amount you will have the HD textures.
I will add I did try it and while it was good, I prefer the default look myself.
