Just lost 155 days of progress...
Ok. Im done with this game. Lost my motivation completely. Just had grinded all the good stuff and killed the Moder. Had portals to all previous bosses, biomes, trader etc. Just hitted day 200 in game.
This morning logged in and BOOM all of the sudden "day 45" All progress just vanished into thin air. I don't even have the steam cloud enabled, which caused problems last time.
My character has all the gears and stuff though. Which makes sense, because they are in separate save files. I just cant play this game before this is fixed. Can't be trusted. So sad :(
Probably should have backed the save files from time to time. Doh!

Bummer, had the same thing happen when the game first came out...surprised it is still happening. You could try using the .old files to restore your world if they haven't already been overwritten with the rollback. If they have, I would just enable debug mode and put everything back the way you had it. You can fly around and build without needing resources, wouldn't take too long.

This is a pre-release game. I have a directory that I do a backup of save game and characters every time I log off.
A second playthrough is also fun. Sorry you lost your things. But try playing again with some other goals maybe. Hardcore? Wolf army? No portals, pathways to all your bases.
