When you get to later biomes food lasts a lot longer. Black Forest-tier food isn't much stronger but it does last about twice as long and is well worth the extra effort it takes to farm and cook it.

Come back later. Worrying about food stops becoming a thing when you're not a brand new player. Same for short days. You can always use the bed if the darkness isn't your cup of tea.

Pretty much don't worry about "how many minutes" the food lasts and just replenish it when it starts flashing... Make enough foods to always carry extras around and also don't forget to keep your rested bonus active at all times as well (spend time near fire).
Generally, higher tier foods are going to last longer than the beginner foods, so don't stress over it and just keep playing.

How about the timing? 30 minutes, and 25 minutes do NOT last an actual 25-30 minutes, not for us anyway

Well its not over the last 25% of the duration, its more like the 50% of the buff diminishes over the entire duration, and the other half disappears when the duration is out.

Sounds about right, if you have 20 comfort it lasts beyond the daylight hours, and it is just swell, it really is.

No idea what you are saying in the first question but to answer the second one it depends on what you ate. Higher tier food lasts a long while and into the next day if you sleep at night.

Yep. When they start blinking, they start degrading. They will degrade until the timer is 0.

FYI Valheim Plus has an option to disable this behaviour.
