I mean the zone is populated and it is a metal we can harvest, it's not like the current mistlands with absolutely nothing in it.

No, because its from a completely unfinished biome. Why its even in now is beyond me. Same with the sword associated.

but now is a good time to stockpile it for later :)

trick i use is building a quick wall around the meteor so you don't get disturbed while mining it. Any Surtlings that come close to the wall you can kill with an Atlier special attack or Stagbreaker's AOE, which goes through the walls. Simple way to farm Surtling cores and coal too

Besides smelting it nothing atm, maybe in a future update.

I smelt it and toss it in a box marked Flametal and wait for it to be used.

it's pretty dumb though they haven't let us craft the flame sword yet, it's in the game. A teaser weapon for whenever Firelands is done. It's not overpowered or anything either, about on par with upgraded iron but with fire DoT.
