Best money spent on a game in a long time. I got over 700 hours in this, and still having fun.

100% worth it as a solo game. I can only imagine the fun with friends you can trust not to troll you on a server.

That being said, though, you can't exactly pause the game. You have to "Log out" (return to the title screen or exit the game) when playing. This is bad because, as you progress, there are random timer-based events that could happen while you're AFK.. and you don't want them to happen while you're AFK. :)

Literally the only real drawback of the game. A smaller gripe is that the food system is super tedious at a few points in the game (Turnip stage, potentially Onion stage), but if you don't mind a bit of a grind in that regard (there's farming!), then it's no biggie at all.

Seriously, the game is super fun and it's updated rather frequently. For an EA game, it's super-polished and well worth it. If you have a larger panel and a good sound system, or headphones, get ready for some immersion. :)

Nah, the community knows not to expect rapid updates from a small crew and not to label a game that's still getting updates "abandonware".

I played 100 hours solo and had a blast. Would highly recommend. You can play with or without mods and have fun.

I have played this game solo for hundreds of hours. It is neither boring or grindy. That, imho, is a trope that paid troll$ are selling.

If they hate this game so much, why aren't they playing some other game? What are they doing here constantly touting the same bogus complaints?

I picked up the game during the Black Friday sales ... Having fun, but family stuff is keeping me away from finding another troll to make britches out of!!!

you can solo it is more difficult but not terrible if u like survival games you shoould like it and as far as matchaking there are servers u can join but they are passworded if people want people to join they make the password the name of the map

It's not difficult to play solo.
Grinding for resources will be a little faster with others, but all of the bosses can be beaten easily solo.

i played it solo for over 100 hours, its good with friends but you dont need them to enjoy the game

Don't play this game unless you have played at least the following survival games to death first: 7 Days to Die, The Forest, Don't Starve. Each of those games (and several others I won't mention because those should be plenty) is so much better than this.

This is, by many orders of magnitude, the most grindy "survival" game I have ever played. 70% of this game involves retreading well-worn paths back and forward gathering resources with almost nothing happened to break up the tedium that this involves. It is also the least challenging. Buyer beware.
