So is there like 100% chance for sea serpant in storm on long voyages? I dont want to encounter this hell again

Can you do fire arrows?
In my experience shooting a serpent 3-4 times will make it swim away and usually not come back. But doing so in a raft seems high risk.

lizard tail is not very good. Try deer, boar, and if you have it, honey for stamina as a 3 food idea.

Serpent come around in storms and at night or both. Chance is hard to say, you can see them a good way off but even so, its a mix of where it spawns and how close you get to it whether you even know its there or not. Given their tendency to run away, I mostly ignore them, or shoot if I must.

I tried it out and it was rly rly helpfull THX I got me stuff back now

In my personal experience, serpents are really rare. Only had three so far in over 900 game days.

First time i was ever on the sea in storm and got atacked by serpant and now i have developed Aquaphobia Exclusivly to Valhiem only

I was under the impression that the OP led the serpent to the shore. My bad. I DID read the post. I made a false assumption, though.

A karve under full sails can outrun a serpent. So I would do what @Estyn suggests. Lead it to shore and then kill it while it is beached. Should be not too hard.

If it were me, I'd take time to gather supplies for another karve, rafts are a deathtrap. And make a bow, and the best arrows you can.

Carefully make your way to your corpse area, and try to lead the serpent away, from as far away as possible, ie, as soon as it's visible. Head for shore, while plinking away with some arrows. If you leave your sail up, your boat will keep moving while you shoot. At least for a time, anyway. If it stalls, grab the tiller and accelerate again.

Eat the best buff food you have, have NOTHING in your inventory, activate Eykthir (if you have it, works without), sneak close, run in, grab your stuff, run out.

It's not that hard, you just have to be aware of your surroundings.

I am still in middle of bronze age and best food i got is neck tails and deer meats

You can try to log out and come back in as that sometimes resets spawns. Then if you're attempting to use a raft(not a great choice though) Align your corpse icon on the map with the direction of your raft, then point your camera downward. According to some speed runners, serpents aggro is diminished from doing so.

When a serpent spawns in according to him, it will only aggro if it is in your line of sight.

So if you log out and it resets a spawn and you've pointed the camera down, the chances you get one that spawns in to aggro you is much much more limited.

As he said, it wont "de-aggro " if you catch aggro but it does seem to help from getting the aggro from line of sight stuff.

Since this guy does tons of speed runs and fully explains his strats in this and other vids, it maybe will help you to use that technique to get your stuff back.

Since I cited the information concerning how to avoid serpent spawns as the video explains(evidently you didnt read that in the post) and perhaps he'd prefer to hear the guy talking about it/visual wise, it had merit.
